To get started with Fido, all you need is your smartphone, Android only (our iOS app is in development,) and your Ghana Card number. Ghana cards are the only recognized and acceptable form of identification in Ghana, so if you have both, YOU'RE GOOD TO GO.

How to Get Started

Visit the Google Play Store and search for ‘Fido’ and install the new Fido App.
Open the app and begin registration by providing your mobile number. You will receive a one-time code (OTP) to your phone via SMS.
Set your 4 digits pin code, make sure it’s a code you can remember. Don’t share this pincode with anyone.
Set your security question. Your security question will stop others from gaining access to your account.
Make sure it's an answer you can remember.
Begin the credit application process by submitting your: Selfie, Ghana Card and Address.‍
Apply for your quick personal or business credit and wait for approval, Once approved, money will be instantly sent to your Mobile Money account.

This feature will help build your financial identity and also help you unlock improved offerings and terms. It often ranges between 0 and 800, An initial Fido Score is assigned to you after you apply for your first credit.

How do I register on the Fido app?

What do I need to register for Fido?

Is the Fido app available on iOS?

Currently, the Fido app is only available on Android devices through Google Play Store. The iOS version is still in development. Android users can download and register immediately, while iOS users will need to wait for the app's official release on the Apple App Store.

How long does Fido app registration take?

The registration process is straightforward and typically takes just a few minutes. After downloading the app and providing your mobile number, you'll receive an OTP, set your PIN and security question, then submit your documents. The actual approval of your credit application may take longer, depending on verification.

What is a Fido Score and how do I get one?

Your Fido Score is a numerical rating between 0 and 800 that reflects your financial identity on the platform. You receive an initial Fido Score after applying for your first credit. This score helps you unlock better credit terms and improved offerings as you continue using Fido's services.

Can I get instant credit approval on Fido?

After submitting your application with your selfie, Ghana Card, and address, you'll receive approval feedback. Once approved, money is instantly transferred to your Mobile Money account. The approval timeline depends on verification processes, but fund disbursement happens immediately upon approval.

What should I do if I forget my Fido PIN code?

Your security question is designed to help you recover access to your account if you forget your PIN. When setting your security question during registration, choose an answer you can reliably remember. If you're locked out, you can use this security question to verify your identity and regain account access.
