• Conduct user interviews and testing sessions to gather valuable insights and validate product concepts.
• Define and maintain detailed Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and user stories for new features and product improvements.
• Perform market research to identify emerging opportunities, challenges, and trends in the financial landscape
• Analyze competitor products and industry trends to identify gaps and inform product strategy.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure intuitive and user-friendly experiences.
• Work closely with stakeholders to identify and define new features and improvements based on user feedback and market demands.
• Prioritize product features in alignment with strategic goals, user impact, and technical feasibility.
• Partner with engineering, data science, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality product releases on time.
• Use data analytics to evaluate product performance, identify areas for optimization, and support decision-making processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, working with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, and operations).
• Must have experience conducting user interviews, usability tests, customer feedback and translating them into business and product initiatives. 
• Preferably within the financial sector, including digital banking, credit, payments, and financial services.
• Experience working on B2C mobile products 
• Proven experience in crafting detailed design and functional requirements.
• Strong understanding of financial products, regulatory requirements, and market dynamics.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic startup environment with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on deadlines.
• Team player with prior experience working within a team of Product Managers.
• Tech-savvy with a solid understanding of technical products and processes.
• Passionate about fintech and committed to enhancing financial inclusion and access in Africa.
• Willing to travel from time to time.
