Loan amounts start small and grow over time as you build your repayment history with Fido. First-time borrowers typically start with smaller amounts. The more you repay on time, the more money you can unlock.

Fido loans are short-term, typically 10 to 33 days. Your repayment date, total amount due and all fees are shown to you clearly before you accept any offer. We also have installment payments depending on your credit amount.

Yes. Business owners can apply for funds through the Fido app by selecting the Want More Money option. You may be asked to upload supporting business documents, which can help you qualify for a higher credit limit. The funds can be used to support your business needs, such as stocking inventory, covering operating expenses or growth opportunities.

You can apply if you:
- Are a Ghanaian resident aged 18 or older
- Have a valid Ghana ID
- Have an active mobile money account registered in your name
- Have the Fido app installed on your smartphone
Once you apply, our system automatically reviews your information using our credit scoring process. Approval is based on your account details and eligibility at the time of application.

Yes. Fido does not require formal employment. Traders, self-employed individuals, students with income, and gig workers have all successfully applied.

You can apply again after a waiting period. Fido’s eligibility model considers your current profile at the time of each application.

Fido charges interest and fees on each loan. The total cost — including all fees and interest — is shown to you clearly in the app before you accept. There are no hidden charges.

No. What you see in your loan offer is what you pay. The repayment amount, due date, and total cost are fully disclosed before you accept.

No. Once you accept a loan offer, Fido does not add any hidden or surprise charges after disbursement. The terms of your loan are clearly shown before you accept.
Because interest is calculated daily, you may also pay less in interest if you choose to repay your loan early.

Repayment in Ghana is via mobile money. Your repayment is collected automatically from your registered mobile money account (MTN MoMo or Telecel Cash) on the due date.
