What are the requirements for getting credit from Fido?

About Fido Loans

To apply for credit with Fido, you need to meet the following requirements:

  • You must be a Ghanaian living in Ghana.
  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Have an active mobile money wallet, registered in your name.
  • Have a valid Ghana Card.

To enjoy FidoBiz, we additionally require you to submit documents that show your business existence and ownership. These documents such as business registration, utility bills and financial statements help us determine if you qualify for a higher credit limit for your business. What is the maximum credit amount I can access?

For personal credit: Fido offers short-term credit starting at GHS 280 for new customers and up to GHS 4,000 for returning customers. The specific credit amount offered will depend on your Fido Score.

For FidoBiz: Fido offers short-term business credit starting at GHS 1,500 for new customers and up to GHS 6,500 for returning customers. The specific credit amount offered will depend on your business's eligibility.

What are Fido’s interest rates?

Our fees and interest rates are personalized based on your unique Fido Score, and reduces over time as your eligible loan amount increases. You can view the specific interest rate and fees applicable to you before accepting your loan offer in the Fido App. Fido maintains a transparent fee structure, ensuring you have all the necessary information to make informed financial decisions. What happens if I'm unable to repay my credit on time?

Timely repayments are important for maintaining a good Fido Score. Late repayments may incur penalties, and outstanding debts may be subject to legal action.

How do I refer friends and family?

Fido Biz

You can refer friends and family to Fido by sharing your unique referral code or link.

  • Referral code: Share your code with your friends and family. They'll need to enter this code when signing up on the Fido App.
  • Referral link: Share your unique link, which allows your friends and family to download the Fido App directly.

You can find your referral code and link on the Home Page or Profile Page of the Fido App. Look for the "Invite friends" option. Learn more about Fido's referral program here.
